Charles H. “Chuck” Baxter, a biology lecturer emeritus at Stanford University’s Hopkins Marine Station in Monterey, talks about his family background and his path to Stanford. He describes his approach to teaching and discusses his participation in several endeavors that have had a deep and lasting impact on the public’s perception of our oceans, including the creation of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
